Local Agency Traffic Safety Academy (LATSA)
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Local Agency Traffic Safety Academy (LATSA) is a free webinar series for local agencies and partners, engineers, public works professionals, planners and anyone with an interest in traffic safety. The webinars are focused on:
- Sharing knowledge about traffic safety
- Discussing new and ongoing safety programs
- Explaining available funding sources
- Presenting local best practices
- Learning about new safety treatments and technologies
- Discussing project delivery processes
- These webinars are part of D7’s Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) to support and enhance local agency safety programs in Florida.
Professional Development
- Registered Professional Engineers: all sessions will be submitted for Professional Development Hours for registered professional engineers in Florida.
- Certified Planners: all sessions will be submitted for Certification Maintenance Credit for members of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
LATSA is co-sponsored by the Sun Coast Section of the Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association.
