April 29, 2026
| FDOT District 7 started the Enhanced Law Enforcement Engagement (ELEE) program to partner with local and state law enforcement to address dangerous behaviors such as speeding, aggressive driving and impaired driving. 30 agencies working together conducted more than 92,000 hours of enforcement on state roadways. In the past year alone, more than 29,500 hours of enforcement resulted in 194 impaired drivers removed from roadways and 34 wrong way drivers stopped. ELEE helps make communities safer with a clear goal of reducing fatalities and serious injuries statewide. Source |
